Position: 3D Mechanical Engineering Draftsman BIM

Responsibilities:
1. Develop detailed 3D models and technical drawings using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, adhering to industry standards and project specifications.
2. Collaborate with mechanical engineers and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into accurate and comprehensive designs.
3. Conduct clash detection and resolve conflicts within the 3D model to ensure accurate representation of the mechanical systems.
4. Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other professionals to ensure integration of mechanical systems with the overall building design.
5. Provide technical support and guidance to the project team regarding mechanical systems and BIM-related matters.
6. Review and analyze project documents, including specifications, blueprints, and engineering drawings, to ensure compliance with design intent and regulatory requirements.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in 3D modeling and BIM technologies.
8. Assist in the preparation of project documentation, such as reports, schedules, and progress updates.
9. Collaborate with colleagues and participate in design review meetings to enhance project outcomes and identify opportunities for process improvement.
10. Adhere to project deadlines and contribute to maintaining a high standard of quality in all deliverables.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineering Draftsman with expertise in 3D modeling and BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks).
3. Familiarity with Dutch building codes and regulations is preferred.
4. Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and systems.
5. Excellent proficiency in using 3D modeling and BIM tools to create accurate and detailed designs.
6. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
8. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical team members.
9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
10. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Dutch or another European language is a plus.
