Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements for electrical installations.
Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed 2D and 3D drawings, schematics, and diagrams for electrical installations.
Ensure compliance with local and international electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Perform calculations to determine electrical load capacity, wire sizes, and equipment specifications.
Assist in preparing material lists, cost estimates, and technical documentation for project proposals.
Review and modify existing drawings to reflect design changes, as instructed by project teams.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and suppliers to obtain necessary information for design implementation.
Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing electrical systems and ensure accurate documentation.
Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in electrical installations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Proven work experience as a CAD Draftsman, preferably with a focus on electrical installations.
Proficiency in using CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar tools.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and electrical components.
Familiarity with relevant electrical codes and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
