Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trucks and lorries, including checking fluid levels, changing oil and filters, and replacing worn-out parts.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Repair or replace faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.
Conduct thorough inspections of truck systems and components to identify potential problems or areas for improvement.
Collaborate with team members to develop repair and maintenance plans, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and technological innovations in truck and lorry mechanics.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Truck Lorry Mechanic or similar role.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in heavy-duty trucks and lorries.
Solid understanding of truck and lorry mechanics, including engines, transmissions, braking systems, and suspension.
Excellent knowledge of diagnostic tools, equipment, and software used in the industry.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
Flexibility to work in shifts and handle emergency repairs when required.
Valid driver's license for a lorry.
